I find that sometimes a project needs to marinate for a while. Starting it too soon can lead to difficulties. This thinking stage is no less important than the stitching itself.

Ooh yes I like that idea of it marinating. I've just written a post about this idea and I think you are right, it's all part of the process of the make. :)

Thank you for the reminder. I have a Rannunculus stuck at the sleeve stage. I really must crack on and finish it although I fear we will be into the warmer weather soon and I'll lose the incentive.

Always a problem. You could always take a leaf out of my book and short cut the sleeves. 😉

I think I might do that 🤣

Thank-you for sharing the details of this make. I have looked at the Ranunculus many times, this might just be enough encouragement that I will make it. 🇨🇦

Yes it’s a very adaptable pattern, I’ve considered it a few times but glad I went for it with this.

This is a great idea! Thank you. As a new knitter, I am finding it so VERY helpful to hear about the process of making something (from someone who has already made the project). :). I love the changes you made with the shower sleeves and high/low hem. I shall do the same!

Ps…love the sweater with the checked dress….gorgeous!!!

Oh thank you so much! It’s always hard to know how something new will go so this is great to hear. ☺️
